The Progression of  Painting #32
Wormhole and Fish
1. Just getting started

This was the first time I worked on a canvas this size.  It is 48x36
inches.  I start with a color that calls out to me and then each color is
a blend of that color and the next one.  This painting begins with the
plum color on the far left and then goes toward blues, to greens and
wraps to the orange.
2. Reaching the Eye

Every painting has something about it that just pulls you in.  In this
painting it is the purple eye.  Where did it come from?  Follow the
reds to purple and you will find yourself in a spiral.  Like the eye of a
hurricane. Did I plan this?  No.  Every painting is like a child waiting
to be born....

Thus the name...
Anjlart!
3. Keeping a Close Eye

This photo of the eye is really powerful the larger I make it.

Also notice the reaching out of orange to green above the eye and
over another color.  It's symbolic of two diverse entities reaching
out and at the point of connection is pure light.
Sunlight of the Spirit!
4.  Ascension

The direction this painting wanted to go was up!  Even though I
started with a point and went down and then spiraling in
sometimes and then looping.  The bottom right hand corner wraps
the bottom of the canvas in another large spiral, this time in blues
which give the illusion of  large drops of Chrystal clear water.
.(See final painting/photo on this page and look at the top right
corner.)
5. Burst of Light from falling Anger

At this point what is being painted in the bottom right hand corner
is enormously powerful.  The orange (painted with the tiniest
brush with the smallest strokes) slams into the mustard green
and rotted lettuce color in an angry and aggressive manner.
Yet the result is.....the largest spray of pure white sunlight.

So what does that tell us
?
6.Fine!

This painting is currently hanging in my bedroom. This photo
doesn't do it justice.  I turn it occasionally to see what it has to
teach me.  I particularly love the painted 2 inch edges.  They
remind me that this kind of message cannot be contained or
framed.  Anjlart evolves and continues to communicate from
painting to painting and then back within it's self again.
I hope you have enjoyed your introduction and journey through Anjlart!
