Greeting Anjlart Friends,

Yes, I am well aware that it has been since June that I’ve sent out the last Anjlart Newsletter.  Boy does time ever fly
when life is in session…and has life ever been in session since June? I hope these past few months have been
enlightening for all of you as well.

In June I taught my first semester of summer school and because I am such a good sport…(urg!) I said yes to a request
to take on a second class to combine with the class I all ready had… and that made for 53 General 9 English students
per day for 4 hours a day. What an order! Thank goodness that it only lasted for 3 long weeks.

Summer Travels

So that made me quite ready for a 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean where I was able to discover an amazing
Ceviche restaurant named “Jaguars” in Coconut Grove/Miami Beach Florida, a beautiful day of snorkeling off of Grand
Cayman Island and 7 Mile Beach, an exhilarating motorcycle tour around the island of Roatan Honduras, a most
treasured experience cave tubing in a rainforest just outside of Belize City and finally a relaxing day enjoying the most
beautiful waters off of Cozumel.

It was a great trip in many ways (many photos to prove it)…but I especially enjoyed the evenings of the endless
Caribbean Sea and nightly sunsets from my stateroom balcony listening to Angelique Ionatos and all my other favorites
from my iPod.

Then as typical for me I didn’t spend too many days home before I felt that usual itch to get out and do some “Solo
Road Trippin”.  This was a summer of catching up with friends and loved ones. My first jaunt was over to Lake Isabella
and then down south to Pasadena, Long Beach, Dana Point, Cardiff and Encinitas.

Amazing treasures awaited me. While on the road I, found my way back to my tribe and my people…something I left a
while back looking for the proverbial….”somewhere else over the rainbow” only to discover that everything I thought I
wanted was right here in my own backyard.

While on the road for this first trip I even did some freelance counseling with friends in need, had some amazing bike
rides to places I hadn’t ridden in over 30 years and some places I had never been.  I laughed/cried with friends, heard
words that healed my heart, and even held my nieces brand new baby daughter.

I watched the movie Mamma Mia (filmed on Skopelos Island in Greece) with my dancer/sister, went to the Laguna Arts
Festival with another artist/sister, and drove to Beaumont CA to reconnect with a woman who was my spiritual advisor
for over 9 years. (What a gift to reconnect with her and have her in my life again!)  It was a magical trip…and one that
only now am I able to see as the gift it was.

Then after a few weeks of being home in our usual B-town summer triple digit heat…I ventured out again.  This time for
a Northern California hook up.  There I spent some time catching up more friends and loved ones (not to mention
getting some body work) on the Central Coast and then spent time with my son Jake and Jill (his now new bride living in
Santa Rosa) who were still then in the throes of serious wedding errands.  We had a fun day in SF for a wedding dress
fitting, Thai dining and a concert with friends.  Yes, I’m a very blessed woman to be able to travel so much and in so
many other ways as well.  I am fully aware. Trust me.

All of these adventures can be viewed in my photo albums on the Anjlart MySpace page @ http://www.myspace.
com/anjlartmusic. And if you aren’t one of my friends there yet please add me.

New Teaching Job Assignment

In August I went back to my teaching day job…only this time I was asked to teach two periods of Beginning Art!  Wow!  I
didn’t see this one coming but accepted with a resounding YES!  And then the reality hit.  Oh, this means I am now a
traveling teacher…hiking from one end of the campus to the very diagonal opposite!  Teaching Art to a room full of
high school students for 2 periods a day is VERY different than teaching my own workshop at my home to 6-8 adults
who want what I have.  HELLO??? WAKE UP!

It’s been quite a journey but the magic is starting to surface and some of the kids are getting turned on by the freedom
to create without criticism or artistic technical drivel.  And although they are soaring with creativity… I don’t think anyone
is more inspired than this new Art teacher/artist.  I’ve done more drawing than I’ve ever imagined I would.  Next
quarter…they will be introduced to the magical doodle process we play with in my workshops.  Stay tuned for updates
on this new adventure.

Art

Soon I will be posting my latest series painted as a wedding gift for Jake and Jill.  This series consists of 9 Wedding
Trees that are archetypes of 9 stages of marriage.  The idea was inspired by the beautiful old oak tree they were
married under in Windsor CA on September 20th at their most magically beautiful wedding.

I will also be posting some photos of my new drawing pieces very soon on the Anjlart website.

Gigs…This Friday October 17th Dagnys!!!

It’s been since June when I played a gig in Springville. I’m reminded of a conversation I had with my friend Stephen from
Los Osos in July when I said I was worried that my music passion was fading away and he said…”Just relax and wait…it’
ll come back!”  And he was so right.

I will be playing again this Friday October 17th @ Dagny’s Coffee Company at 1600 20th St. from 6-8pm… and after
rehearsing lately I feel my music heart waking up and coming alive again.

I’m also looking forward to returning to Springville next month.  I’ll keep you all posted on those dates but please come
out and enjoy the fun this Friday night.

Creative Circle Workshops to Resume this Month!!!

Now that I’ve been teaching art daily…I am finding it even more necessary to resume facilitating my Circle of Creatives
Workshops again.  Do I ever have some wonderful new drawing lessons that I want to share with all of you who have
been taking the courses over the years…and to those of you who have been waiting for the perfect time…The new
course will begin on Wednesday October 29th    through Dec. 17th.  The cost of the course is $150 and includes all
supplies. (Repeat clients and bringing a friend, will receive a 20% discount)

Be prepared to expand your drawing and painting skills along with other inspiring artist hearts. Call soon to reserve
your spot. (661)717-4828

So the world turns on it’s axis and life changes for us all…I’ve missed you all while I was out and about on this journey
of life. I so hope to be able to see you all soon at either a gig, workshop or on this path to our truest hearts.

Wishing you all Great Love and Clarity,

Namaste,

It’s all right here the gold is now
It’s all we’re looking for
And nothing lives behind the HOW
We don’t need anymore
I learned that lack feeds me a lie
Abundance doesn’t haunt
There’s nothing left to want
