Greetings Anjlart Friends,

It's been a very long time since I've posted a newsletter or
blogged. This will serve as both. I hope you are all well and have
remembered to enjoy the beautiful springtime weather we are having!
Wow! It's been absolutely breathtaking for all the traveling I've
been so blessed to do these past few months and if you have visited
my Music Myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/anjlartmusic you all ready
have seen some of my newest photos of such adventures. If not…please
stop by and enjoy!

As I gather my thoughts here I am feeling absolute humility of all
that has happened in my world these past 3 years…with the evolution
of my new course Circle of Creatives, my art, music, shows and
travels. What a truly abundant life I am so blessed with. I'll try
to update you on these areas as briefly as possible.

Circle of Creatives Course
The first Circle of Creatives course was launch this past January and
was such a beautiful success. We had a few returning students and an
equal amount of new students which always makes for a perfect
formula. Creating the course from scratch (instead of following
Julia Cameron's Artists Way Course) was humbling and also quite
insightful to let go and let the flow of the course find its own
way. A new component of this course was that each participant was
able to do two paintings; one in black and white and one in color.
This seemed to get a great response and many students asked if in the
next course we could work on larger creative edge canvases. Sure! As
with any first time of doing something I learned what worked, and
what didn't. I'm looking forward to the next course in the summer.

Music
The Art Opening/Concert at GOWA Gallery in Cambria in January was a
great success. What a treat it was when Christopher (the gallery's
owner) joined me with his wonderful flute playing. It was so much
fun that we've talked about having another porch concert again
sometime in the near future.

Then in February while preparing for the Springville gig, I was able
to talk guitarist Kenny Beal into bringing his guitar and amp to
assist in playing with me our newest collaborative tune Just Like
This. He isn't an easy man to sway initially so you can probably
imagine how surprised I was when he started playing with me in the
first set and ended up playing the entire gig! I think he's hooked…
and so it's looking like he will now be playing with me on many more
gigs to come.

The next Springville gig is scheduled for either the 19th or the 26th
of April. I will keep you posted on that date as soon as it is
determined. The 19th is their annual Jackass Mail Run weekend which
is the kick off for their big Rodeo weekend on the 26th. Both
weekends would prove to be a lot of fun and activity for that sweet
little town. The weather was gorgeous in February and should prove
to be just as nice in April.

Also, I'm excited to report that I talked to Desi at The Village
Grill this week and he said they are getting ready for me to come
back out and play in April. As soon as we confirm some dates I will
definitely let you all know so we can begin the breakfast gang again.

Art
My artwork has taken a more mature pace (I'd call it). I have a few
pieces that have not yet made it onto my website as I study them and
let them speak to me about final touches.
Soon you will be able to view Random Perfect Imperfection and some of
the pieces that have evolved along with other students in the course.

Traveling
As many of you know I made an amazing solo journey to the island of
Chios, Greece at the end of the year bringing in the New Year. Then
I made it home in time to celebrate a big birthday with some friends.
Just after that my life made a huge turn when destiny saw fit to
bring Kenny Beal into my life. I can't explain how this sweet man
has enhanced my life…in so many ways. One way that has just
skyrocketed is in traveling and adventure…in just a few short months
we have had many artists' dates; rock sculptures in Ventura, drank
fresh squeezed orange juice in Piru (twice), Yoga'd on Venice
Beach/Marina Del Rey and Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas. We've stayed
and swam at the amazing 5 Star Luxury Pasadena Huntington Hotel and
photographed their amazing gardens and bridge murals, we've eaten
calamari in Malibu and Cuban in B-town, and hiked and photographed
some breathtaking sights in Zion Utah (during a healing trip to visit
my sweet sister Irene who is battling breast cancer) and a recent
playful hike with our pups to Mill Creek Trail, right here in the
Kern Canyon.

It looks like we will be heading to San Diego for Spring Break with
plans on renting a sailboat with this seasoned sailor and then a day
of motorcycle touring. Of course we will enjoy some of our time
visiting my handsome son Christian and his adorable girlfriend
Hillary and her parents. This will all happen after I return from
celebrating (with the other parents) at one of the engagement parties
for Jake and Jill in Santa Rosa. Let the festivities begin for these
two amazing young people as they also rejoice in the purchasing of
their first house. You can imagine how shocked I was when they
informed me that they have moved their wedding date to sometime this
September. You can imagine how excited I was when Jill asked me to go
with them and her parents for a day of sampling food for the wedding,
checking out venues and perhaps even a day of dress boutique-ing with
the bride-to-be and her mother for our wedding attire!!!

Wow! These are the kinds of adventures I used to dream of and now my
life just overflows with such joy, love, beauty and laughter.

As I allow myself to be still and acknowledge such amazing grace I
wish for the peace of The Divine to show her face during this
beautiful season of resurrecting your creative hearts.

Take exquisite care my sweet friends.

Namaste,
Angeline Damigos

Understand the obstructions you are putting in the way of love,
freedom, and happiness and they will drop. Turn on the light of
awareness and the darkness will disappear. Happiness is not something
you acquire; love is not something you produce; love is not something
you have; love is something that has you.
