Greeting Anjlart Friends,
It’s been since March that I sent out a newsletter to you all because of such an amazingly full
life! I hope you have all been well and that this wonderful summertime season finds you
relaxed and enjoying all the activities that this time brings…such as abundance of fruit (my
white nectarine tree broke three branches because of it being so full and
succulent…yeeeeeeeeeikes!), swimming, BBQ, patio visiting and traveling.
I have so much to share with you but first want to take this time to thank all of you for your
love, support, kind words, flowers, cards and condolences as my sweet sister Irene passed
away on May 15th. What a journey her abundant life took through raising 6 amazing
children, their wonderful spouses, and…get this... 26 grandchildren!!!
Irene and her loving husband (and life partner Mark) spent the past year (or so) on quite an
admirable quest battling breast cancer and living life to the fullest! During this time she and I
were able to reconnect our hearts in such an unbelievable loving way. What a gift it was for
me to be able to give her numerous Reiki treatments and talk with her about this journey of
life we are all on. Her gentle heart will be forever remembered.
Summer Circle of Creatives Course
I’m happy to announce the next Circle of Creatives Course which will begin on
July 7th –August 11th (6 Mondays) 7-9pm. This will be the second time this new course will
be given. The last course was so much fun and I am looking forward to facilitating and being
present for more artistic and spiritual unblocking. So many beautiful things have happen for
people who have taken these courses…it’s been such an inspiration for us all!
Check out photos and learn more about the course on the Anjlart website at www.anjlart.
com.
The cost of the course is $150 and if you are a repeat participant or if you bring a friend, you
(and your friend) will receive a 20% discount. The course is limited to 10 people so please
be sure to reserve your seat as soon as you can.
Anjlart
I have been busy painting for Jake and Jill’s wedding. This project is a series of 6 oak trees
called “The Wedding Tree” that is a set of variations of the beautiful tree that they will
exchange their nuptial vows in September. I will definitely post these on the Anjlart website
as soon as they decide which one they will be using for their invitations. What an honor this
has been to create for them. This is going to be an absolutely beautiful wedding in Windsor
CA.
Anjlart Music
Sometimes it feels like my music takes a rest but you can be sure much is boiling beneath
the surface. With all that is going on I am still making time to make the monthly trek to
Springville, CA for a Saturday afternoon gig at Coffee Etc. where my sweet friends LaWanna
and Dennis have been so gracious to provide one of my very favorite venues for what is
always a refreshing day of sun, mountains, river, great food, happy people and music. So
come out and enjoy the day with us this Saturday June 14th from Noon to 3pm.
Travels and Adventures
However do I fit all the adventures of the past 2 ½ months in a short paragraph??? What a
treat it has been to find such a wonderful travel partner who loves to do all the things I enjoy
doing while traveling this beautiful world of ours.
After my return from Santa Rosa visiting Jake and Jill’s new home and enjoying their pool
with Buddy, Kenny and I ventured south to San Diego to spend some time with Chris and
Hillary. We stayed in Hillary’s parent’s wonderful guest house behind their gorgeous home
in Encinitas, CA overlooking mansions in Rancho Santa Fe! We enjoyed a day of sailing in
the bay with Chris and witnessed him getting stung by the sailing bug…so much so that he
signed up for membership with the San Diego Sailing Club. Yeay!!!
The next day we rented a Harley (yep!) and rode like Evil Kenevil to the small little apple
town of Julian. It was fun…but…when we finally dismounted the smokey heap…Kenny
announced…”I don’t think we are Harley people!” I just broke out laughing. Hey, at least
we will try anything!
In April we played a fun gig in Springville during the Jackass Mail Run festivities. That was
such a beautiful day and we had such a great turn out too! Thanks to those of you who
came out and enjoyed the day with us. Kenny did his usual shy entrance…and then ended
up playing the entire gig. He’s always so shocked at how much fun he has playing and
performing with me. One day he will just admit it…huh K-Bear?
May was a very full month of travel and adventure. We began with a trip back down to SD
for more sailing fun with Chris and this time took Hillary with us on the second day of sailing;
Mother’s Day after a fun romp through the colorful San Diego Farmers Market for our
Brunch. During that trip Kenny and I made sure to ride our bikes from Cardiff to Del Mar to a
favorite beach we now refer to as “Yoga Beach” were we climbed a free standing rock and
enjoyed the surf for our morning sun salutations.
On May 21st we flew to Utah for the most beautiful family reunion and funeral services for
my sister Irene. I can’t tell you all how very loving and healing this trip was for me as we
celebrated the life of such a courageous soul. It was amazing to see my precious sisters and
all the cousins laughing and catching up and making promises to stay in touch. I am so
looking forward to many more good times with them all.
While in Utah Kenny and I took a day to play with Jake and my niece Marcey in Park City
and Salt Lake City Utah on the way to taking them back to the airport. Then we made our
way to one of my favorite resorts in the world…Sundance! I love Sundance!!!
And then just this past weekend we rented a 28 footer out of Santa Barbara to spend the
day on the beautiful ocean and then stayed the night on a 52 footer for a most heavenly
romantic ending of a sailing day. On Sunday we rode bikes through the famous SB art walk
and finished off the day with a yummy lunch of calamari, salad…and what would a day at the
beach be like without an ice-cream.
I will be posting photos on the Anjlart website Bio page of all these adventures for you all to
enjoy. You can also view them on my AnjlartMusic Space at
http://www.myspace.com/anjlartmusic
Now we are finalizing our plans for SCUBA, Zip Lining and Cave Tubing while on our next
summer’s journey to Miami, Honduras, Belize, Cozumel and Grand Cayman for a 9 day
Western Caribbean cruise. Ahoy!!!
As I said at the beginning of this newsletter…This is an amazing full life and it is such a
pleasure to share it all with you. Please make sure to share your adventures with me. I love
hearing about the joys and many miracles in your lives. You know they are there if you just
pay attention.
I wish you all joy as you embrace all that this life brings your way.
Namaste,
Angeline Damigos/Anjlart
