Greetings Anjlart Friends,
Happy Summer Solstice! I hope this newsletter finds you all in a state of Summer love…joy…and peace. I won’t
pretend that this newsletter will be short and to the point. Not a chance with all that is going on and all that is to
come in the next few months.
Some Changes in Events!!!
First I want to tell you that there will not be a gallery opening/show at GOWA Creative Arts Gallery in Cambria
this weekend (June 23rd) like I had originally posted. The event will be moved to a Saturday in August due to
family illness of the gallery owners. I will keep you posted on that. I will, however, be setting up my work in the
gallery on July 2nd so if you are out and about in Cambria…make sure to stop buy and check it out.
Also…I am hoping to resume playing at The Village Grill after their remodel and my Summer travel plans. But for
now there are no performances scheduled at this venue.
….and the goal is to resume again at Coffee Etc. in Springville CA, the 3rd Saturday (18th) in August as well.
One performance that is a go is Friday June 29th from 6-8pm at Dagneys Coffee Co. in B-town on the corner of
Eye and 20th.
New Paintings!!!
It is my pleasure to introduce three new paintings that practically tied me to the paint brush and forced my attention
the first week of vacation. I don’t remember ever doing three paintings in one week’s time. Well, just about.
The first painting will not be revealed until it has been gifted to Sophia and Atif as their wedding present from me.
Sophia was my student teacher this year and hinted very strongly what she would like as a gift. The painting has
been hanging on an easel in my family room these past few weeks and I have to say that there is a part of this
painting that has to be one of my very favorite play of colors ever. Come back after July 7th to view it on the
website.
The second painting Summer Hearts was completed in just a couple of days after paintbrush hit the canvas during
one of the Riding the Dragon workshops. It is a wonderful dance of hearts that seems to be telling of all the
wonderful romance that is happening in and all around my life these days. So many friends are glowing with new
found loves…or am I just more aware???
The third painting Two Hearts has a wonderful open/airy feel with lots of pink which is not common in my work until
now.
CD Info!!!
I can’t tell you how much the world has changed since the release of my first CD Exposed! What an experience it
has all been and how surprised I was when I first felt that strong desire to get working on the next one. Now that I
know more about how to approach such a project the creative juices in this area are running wild. I can’t tell you
how awesome it was to design the packaging. It was a whole new wonderful arena to exercise my creativity. If you
have not purchased your copy of Exposed as of yet you can do so by going to the Anjlart Music page on the
website where you can either purchase a hard copy from CD Baby or download each tune from Digstation…by
clicking on either link. Or you can get your personally signed copy at any performance.
Creative Courses!!!
Next Wednesday we will be having our closure meeting for the final Artist’s Way Course (Riding The Dragon) of the
year. These past three courses this year have gone so very well. I can’t wait to start the new season. I’m looking
at writing my own courses that will incorporate all the best of the last three which will be offered starting in
September. So I will keep you posted on this new evolving project.
Going To Europe!!!
Okay…so now on a more personal note…I have some awesome travel plans for the month of July to Italy and
Greece...I'm sure this will inspire quite a new chapter of art and music. You can be sure…I will be a changed
woman/artist/singer/songwriter.
So that’s the novel for these next few months. I wish you all a wonderful rest of the Summer and I hope to see you
all at Dagneys on the 29th which will be the last performance before I leave. Please be sure to check out the new
refreshed website too…make sure to stop by the Recent Paintings page to see a new gallery of all the paintings
that have been moved from the homepage and my Bio page which has been updated with photos of so many of you
who have inspired my work.
