Greetings Anjlart Friends,
Happy Month of The Heart, Love and all things sweet!
It was quite the cold winter for this artist/singer/songwriter…not to mention being sick for nearly two months. Urg!
What was that all about? I won’t dwell on those things unpleasant…but let’s just say it was quite the journey and boy
am I ever gleeful to be in the month of February and coming out of quite a tunnel.
So much is happening…can’t you just feel the warmth and colors of Springtime approaching?
Anjlart-As you view the newly updated homepage you will find quite a surprise…what’s that? A seascape? Yes,
your eyes are not deceiving you. Something has happened! While viewing some beautiful photos taken by the
talented photographer Stephen Hamill, I begged him to stop when he got to this shot taken during his yearly morning
catamaran trip to the Na Pali cliff/coastline.
The colors in the photo stirred my heart in such a way that I asked his permission to paint…something…inspired by
this photo. I had no intention on painting an actual seascape…I was thinking of something more abstract with
texture and those beautiful colors of aqua, browns and orange tones. But instead what happened was this.
I fought my paintbrush all the way…with the internal dialog shouting…”I can’t paint the ocean… I love it too much.” “I’
m not powerful enough to do this…I don’t know how!” All the while it painted itself. I hope you enjoy
Na Pali Sunrise!
Another fun piece is January Heart. This was a fun piece to paint mainly because it was the piece that came from a
fun artist’s date with my new painting buddy Linda (who took the last Artist’s Way course) and has now found a
painting path for her creativity that is simply amazing. ( I am thinking of adding a page of artwork done by some of
my students/clients…you all have to see the work that is flowing with these wonderful new artists!!!)
Artist’s Way Courses- Since I was just speaking about the courses….I wanted to share some updated info with you
all about them. In September through December I held the first AW course in two years. This was a great group
that set the path again. So when ths next group began in January…I was really excited to see how it would take off
since it has been the first time I have ever facilitated the sequel course, “Walking in This World”. We are finishing
up the 3rd week and I am so very pleasantly please to tell you that I am enjoying this course more than I thought
would be possible. Julia Cameron has taken her original course and brought new light and power into this one by
adding a new component of a weekly walk!
The next course will begin the second week in April (another first for me to facilitate) titled…”The Artist’s Way at
Work: Riding the Dragon”. I have a feeling it’s going to fill up fast since it will coincide with the ending of this school
year which seems to be a time when teachers are re-evaluating their creative teaching paths.
Anjlart Music- The big news in Anjlart Music is that the CD cover/packaging/production is well underway and it is my
fervent hope that it will be ready in mid March for release and purchase when I begin the new Anjlart Music gig
schedule again. I am so excited to release this project into the universe that has provided so much joy for me over
the past few years of this creative journey.
I owe it all to your precious hearts…and I am looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Be well…my sweet friends.
Namaste,
Angie/Anjlart

and what we value, life gets better, we feel better, and the world gets healthier too.”
