New Years Greetings Anjlart Friends,
I trust that your Holidays were warm and special. I know mine were and I still have a few more weeks of celebrating
events and birthdays ahead of me. Although I love the holidays, I am looking forward to the gentle hum of the
ordinary.
Ruby Grace
As many of you know, my son Jacob and his wife Jill made me a Yia Yia on July 15, 2009 Wow! Those of you
experienced grandparents were right! Ruby Grace is absolutely the best thing ever! If you’ve seen me around or if
you are on Facebook you’ve seen countless photos of this precious little doll baby.
Just a few days after Christmas I got an extra special treat; an impromptu adventure with Ruby, Chris, Jake and Jill.
The location was the beach in Long Beach where I use to go as a little girl with my family. After all the holiday events
and plans…this was the one that was my favorite of all. Just the sand, ocean, some shells, a football, and of
course…my new camera! ;-) Words cannot express the joy I experienced holding this beautiful little baby girl in my
arms while the surf from my hometown tickled my feet.
New Art
Just after Thanksgiving I finished a new large (36” x 48“) oil painting. The piece is titled “Grandfather Solitude” and
can be viewed on my website at http://anjlart.com
It’s entire form was created by words that bring me great comfort and peace such as; Grandfather, Solitude, Peace,
Done, Perfect Timing, Divine Love and more. The combination of colors of the piece along with smoother textures also
bring a sense of peace and calmness. Please take a look and let it sooth your soul as it does mine.
Next Workshop
Last September was the beginning of the entire series of Artist Way Workshops. Since it had been awhile since I
offered the first/original course, it was quite a success as some were introduced to this path, and some came back for
a renewal of their creative/spiritual journey. What a wonderful beginning that was!
So it is with great pleasure that I will be offering the second course “Walking in this World”. Please make note that the
starting date is Thursday (new day) January 7th from 6pm-8pm and will run for 12 weeks. If you are interested in
taking the course please call me (717-4828) as soon as possible to reserve your seat. The course will be limited to no
more than 8 participants. The cost is $150 for first timers and $120 (20% discount) if you’ve taken a course with me
before. (Also please note that It is preferred that you have taken the (first) Artist Way course at sometime prior).
